At the Friday, August 14th WBB monthly meeting,
we welcome Sarah Line, speaking about
ANCIENT BRAIN. MODERN WORLD.™We know what to do. We have more information, better tools, and more access than any generation before us. And still, we often feel exhausted, reactive, and stuck. And still, we are losing ground.
These aren't separate problems. They are symptoms of one system, built for a world that no longer exists, quietly running every part of our lives, and it is not the one we have been training.
We have two. The thinking system, where knowledge, strategy, and intention live. And the responsive system, built for survival, running automatically, and overriding everything we know we should do the moment pressure hits. We have spent our lives developing the first. The second has been driving our behavior unchecked.
It is not broken. It is doing exactly what it was designed to do. In conditions it was never designed for.
This is where Responsive Intelligence™ begins, the biological capacity to engage your own system, recalibrate the errors it makes under pressure, and channel that activation into the thinking, decision-making, and contribution an evolving world demands.
You will walk away with the ability to:
- See the biological system driving patterns you've been calling stress, burnout, or being too busy
- Stop blaming yourself for behaviors your biology has been driving all along
- Recognize the difference between your thinking system and the system actually running your life
- Identify where you've been reaching for solutions that can't address the source
- Apply a different lens to your own moments of overwhelm, reactivity, or shut-down
Begin recalibrating the system that's been driving you, instead of trying to override it.
We look forward to seeing you!

Meet our Speaker: Sarah Line
Sarah Line is the Originator of Responsive Intelligence™ and is developing the emerging field of Responsive Systems Science—the study of biological defaults and the science of evolving them.
Sarah's work began not in a boardroom but as a humanitarian, leading diverse teams across three continents. Working alongside individuals and communities under extreme pressure, she recognized a pattern: a deeper system driving human defaults that was consistent across cultures, conditions, and demographics. Then she returned home and watched leaders within organizations struggling to solve different symptoms of the same defaults and realized this was growing into a global crisis.
Her humanitarian work transitioned into a decade of studying, building, and training a solution to help individuals and teams recalibrate these biological defaults.
Today she trains leaders, teams, and audiences through her company Boredroom Breakouts, making the case that the recalibration our modern world demands is not a mindset shift. It is a biological one. She still leads humanitarian trips whenever possible.
THANK YOU to this month's Speaker Sponsor:
After the meeting: Step into Connection ~ Continue conversations with fellow WBB attendees, about the meeting topic and more! We will walk along the River on Brown's Creek Trail ~ Be sure to bring your walking shoes!
