Reopen MN Coalition - MNReady! - For our Local Businesses

For nearly 100 days, many of our local businesses have been shuttered due to COVID-19. Workers have been furloughed, supply chains disrupted, and community engagement lost. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has worked tirelessly to identify resources, answer questions, facilitate discussions and advocate on your behalf to safely open again.

COVID-19 BE PREPARED and Proactive - Going Back to Work Slowly and Safely

The Chamber has launched a Business Recovery Committee and we would like to understand the impact your business has experienced around COVID-19. Please complete this short survey HERE. Your input matters and we want to help you. The Business Recovery Committee will then assess where businesses are now, how we can help with a slow reopening, and strategies and campaigns to reset our local economy once COVID-19 is under control.

COVID-19 Update - A Message from the Executive Director

As you know, Governor Walz extended the "stay at home" executive order until May 4. Although it did not include major modifications to the current order, it may expand exemptions going forward. At the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, we champion our businesses and are concerned for the health and wealth of many during this unknown time. We also understand this news will be met with questions and concerns from the business community. We will continue to share information and resources as they come

A Message from the Executive Director - COVID19

I have never been so proud to work at the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce and serve this remarkable community. Our Chamber has been a staple in the valley for 129 years. I took this position four years this April 1st, no fooling, and we have continued to grow and shift our focus to be a stronger community together. However, COVID-19 is testing our patience, and during this national healthcare crisis, the collective chamber community across the world is leading the charge in driving plans for business

2020 A Collaborative Decade. Embrace the Future

As we wrap up 2019, the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce is looking to embrace the future as we move into a collaborative decade - 2020. When I think of the word collaboration, it provides the opportunity to do, not just good things, but great things. One organization can do a lot, but together we can do more, and together we can make a deeper impact.

    Chamber Update

Last month I wrote about the Food Truck Extravaganza which was held at the Washington County Fairgrounds on June 15th. We estimated close to 9,000 people attending, which we did not expect. We would like to thank the 75+ volunteers who helped make this happened. What a success! The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to serve, advocate and promote the interests of member businesses while enriching the lives of our communities. Our Core Values are:

    Small Business Saturday Thoughts

I like to say that people in the valley are passionate and proud. Not just those that were born and raised here but those that move here quickly learn our community embraces the love of the valley. It's contagious. We share several traditional downtowns including Afton, Bayport, Marine on St. Croix, Lake Elmo and of course historic Stillwater. Shopping local is important for our local economy, strengthens our community and offers jobs. I read this article and thought it was a perfect fit as we approach
