Chamber Celebrates Rose Floral and Greenhouse’s 40th Anniversary

April 24, 2019. Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 40th Anniversary for long time Chamber member Rose Floral and Greenhouse at a ribbon cutting on April 23, 2019. The event took place at 14298 North 60th Street, Stillwater. Rose Floral family and staff (including the resident canine Hazel), Chamber Ambassadors, members, and staff shared in the celebration.
It all started in 1979 on 5th Street in Stillwater when Glenn Rose, an electrical engineer by trade, decided to fulfill his surname and buy the Glaser Greenhouse and transform it into the appropriately named Rose Floral & Greenhouse that we know and love today. The move to its current location off of Highway 36 took place in 1995 when the area was still primarily farm land. Richard admittingly said, “we weren’t sure if the move to our current location was going to be a good one or not, but it has been one of the best things we have done.” The welcoming floral store prides themselves on quality and customer service, in which they do not disappoint. The Rose’s have created an ambience with a boutique feel that inclines one to linger in their beautiful space for hours. They are also pet friendly having a dog, Hazel, and cat, Ollie, on the premises. The Greenhouse has recently been improved and future projects are in discussion.
Rose Floral is committed to growing their business and continuing to be a vital part of the community. When asked what his favorite thing about the area is, Andrew Rose responded, “I love the small town feel, but yet Stillwater has so many opportunities and great things to experience right here.” The Rose family all grew up and still reside in or near the Stillwater Area. The month long celebration of their 40th Anniversary continues this weekend with an Open House April 27th and 28th.
