Chamber Celebrates the Centennial Anniversary of Stillwater Motor Company

The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 100 Year Centennial Anniversary of local business, Stillwater Motors as a Raduenz-family owned business, with a ribbon cutting celebration on March 2, 2022. The event took place at Stillwater Motor Company, 5900 Stillwater Boulevard North, Stillwater, MN.  Owners D.J., Linda, Bobby, and Laura, their friends, clients, retired and current employees, Greater Stillwater Chamber ambassadors and staff, city council and Mayor Kozlowski were there to join in the celebration.

“I kind of like the place,” beamed Gus MacDonald, a Stillwater Motors retired employee of 68 ½  years at the event. MacDonald worked for Raduenz’s Grandfather Arthur “Art” Franklin Raduenz who started Stillwater Motor Company in 1922.  MacDonald also worked under Raduenz’s father, Arthur Franklin “Frank” as well as current owner D.J. Raduenz.  

To say Stillwater Motors has ‘deep roots’ would be an understatement. Their 100 year legacy as a family owned business, has the 4th generation currently involved.  Gratitude and appreciation are felt deeply by D.J. for the opportunity to head a family run business. It’s not often you find a family run business where they all REALLY still like each other. Long standing loyal customers and employees are made to feel like family.  It is evident that many love working there and being involved in the community through the support of Stillwater Motor Company.  

The heartfelt gratitude that D.J. has for this opportunity is displayed by his comfortable leadership style and involvement in the community supporting many local organizations such as Rotary, Lions, Yellow Ribbon Families, local schools, youth associations and holiday gift drives.
