Stillwater, MN. The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce celebrated local business Locale Makers Market on February 12th, 2025. Tara Crotty cut the ribbon along with  family, staff, colleagues, friends, Greater Stillwater Chamber ambassadors and staff who were gathered for the celebration.

Locale Makers Market is a collective of local makers and artists who sell their unique, hand-crafted items together, under one roof.  The artists come from all places, with unique and diverse backgrounds, ages, and ideas.  What started as a hobby for Tara, to keep her hands busy and her mind occupied, has truly become a reality for many of the makers and Tara herself.

Inside Locale Makers Market you will find candles, crystals, clothes, baby and children's items, bath salts and homemade soaps.  You will find upcycled/vintage items, pottery, handmade bird feeders and bird houses, herbalism masters, local honey, handmade cards, games, items for dog lovers and so much more!  The artists are a great part of this journey and are all so happy to find a home in Locale Makers Market!

Crotty left her safe, full-time career late last year, and took a leap of faith in her business, a dream that will certainly pay off.  She has the support of all the makers and her family and friends, and her vision for the store just became more vivid as they moved into their new space in a storefront on Main Street early this year.  We couldn't be more excited to watch this store grow and succeed in our community!
