The Co-op Turns 30
-
The co-op turns 30 this year! From its humble beginnings at Nelson and Second Stret, to its tenure in a neighborhood storefront on William Street, it served as an ever-growing member of the Stillwater community. Then in 2000, it moved to its current Main Street location, and transformed from Valley Co-op to River Market Community Co-op. After all these years, River Market remains committed to community, to good food, and to principled buying practices. River Market is committed to being the St. Croix Valley's best source of organic, local and fair trade products. From food to body care, to great household and gift items, you can find it at River Market. And since they do the homework for you, shopping is easy, as you don't have to sift through the small print to know it's going to be good for you and taste great. But the community is the reason for the co-op's success over all these years. And to show their thanks, River Market is going to celebrate! From Saturday, February 9 through Saturday, February 16, River Market will be hosting a variety of activities and guests. The main activity will be on Saturdays, as well as on the actual anniversary date, February 14 - that is right, River Market's anniversary is on Valentine's Day.Stop by and meet vendors and various partners for activities. And of course, we will have the usual delicious locally-sourced cake and ice cream for the anniversary party on February 14. Stop by the store or visit www.rivermarket.coop for all the details. Thanks for 30 delicious years! The Co-op Turns 30
