Making Fresh Cheeses: Paneer and Queso Fresco
-
Fresh cheese is easy for anyone to make. Khaiti Kahleck will instruct you how to make two different varieties: queso fresco and paneer. One gallon of milk is quickly transformed in this workshop into over a pound of fresh cheese. Paneer is a firm non-melting cheese that is famous in Indian cuisine and can be incorporated into many dishes. Queso fresco is very versatile and can be used as a spread, in pasta, molded with fruits and nuts for parties, etc. Both cheeses will be sampled during the class and the participants will receive instructions and recipes.
