Heat without the Meat with Suzanne SchillingExploring the cuisines south of the border is always fun and flavorful. There are many similarities but also distinct differences. So with passport in hand we will begin our culinary adventure. You will begin by making a Cold Avocado Soup, Colombian-style, then we’ll move on to Guatemala to prepare Potato and Fresh Green Bean Salad with a Tomatillo and Pepita Dressing. Next to Venezuela for Hallacas, a form of filled tamale baked in banana leaves with an Ancho Guajillo Sauce. Next will be Mexico for Roasted Chile Poblano Rellenos filled with Pinenuts, Plantains, Black Beans and Mexican Cheeses. We’ll end our trip in Panama where we’ll make Sweet Cinnamon and Sugar Fry Bread with Honey Ice cream. We will enjoy a cold beer with our buffet.Heat without the Meat - Suzanne Schil...
