-
The historic Rivertown Inn, the luxurious 19th century lumber baron mansion will host a gourmet cooking class each month through December led by the inn’s talented European chef, Ray Wyatt. Class topics, ranging from fundamental cooking techniques to exotic international cuisines, were created by Chef Wyatt whose culinary inspiration stems from his extensive world travels and more than 16 years of cooking in fine dining establishments throughout Europe and Australia. The month’s class topic is "The World of Cheese". The world of cheese is vast, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming. Sample various cheeses from the US and Europe and learn about types, differences and uses before making several dishes to enjoy at the end of the class. The classes will be held from 1 - 4 p.m. and will be conducted in the Rivertown Inn’s professional chef’s kitchen featuring hammered copper cabinets and commercial grade appliances. Each class is priced at $65 per person.Early registration is recommended by calling 651-430-2955.
