Fly Fishing the St. Croix

Join Bob Bickford and other local fly fishing experts from around the area in a free clinic to introduce you to fly fishing! Try casting, check out some cool flies, and get out in a McKenzie drift boat! Whether you?re a beginner or an experienced angler, this is a unique, no cost, opportunity to learn about fly fishing on the St.Croix River. Participants will become familiar with equipment used in warm water fly fishing, observe tying demonstrations, and actually get to fish ?all for free! Bob has over 15 years fishing/guiding experience on the St.Croix River and its Trout rich tributaries. He and his company, St. Croix Valley Adventures, have been featured in Fly Rod and Reel magazine?s Trout Bum Contest, ESPN 2's Urban Outdoors and Ron Schara?s Minnesota Bound. Adults and children 14 years of age or older accompanied by an adult are welcome! You?ll need a fishing license and a life jacket if you?ll be heading out in the boat.
