Big River Farms Community Work Day on Saturday, May 1 from 9 am-4 pm.

The Big River farms Program of the Minnesota Food Association will have its 2nd Community Work Day of the season on Saturday May 1 starting at 9 am. At our first Work Day we pulled the plastic on a new 30?x100? hoophose frame and had everything ready to go to pull the plastic on Saturday morning. We also cleaned out our cooler, pulled up old barbwire fence, pulled old ?stuff? out of the fields and planted hundreds of strawberries in our other hoophouse. It?s a potluck lunch some please bring something to share if you can. We always have a beautiful and delicious spread of food and great fun sharing with everyone. For May 1st we will have more similar farm work projects. Friends and family are always welcome. It?s a great opportunity to come out to the farm, learn more about what we are doing, contribute to the farm operations, meet the farmers in our program, and just have a great day outdoors.
