New York Times and USA Today best-selling, Minnesota Author Connie Brockway Featured at Bayport Girls’ Night Out Fundraiser

 

Join award-winning romance author Connie Brockway for a night of flirtatious fun at Bayport Public Library on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 6:30-9pm.

Brockway’s work includes more than 20 full-length novels and anthology stories, bringing the current number of her books in print to over 1,500,000. She’s been chosen as the debut author for Amazon’s newest Kindle venture: Montlake Romance. And, as a featured Amazon author, Brockway is excited that Amazon is partnering with libraries nationwide to make their electronic books available for patrons to checkout on their personal Kindles.

“I’ve spent more hours in libraries than I can count. They truly are one of my favorite places to be (plus my sister-in-law is a librarian). So I am really pleased to be the guest at this year’s Girls’ Night Out,” Brockway said. “I promise nothing too raucous (but sometimes I lie). Either way it’ll be a blast- I get to have a great time with my readers, and it’s for a great cause: a fundraiser for a beautiful local library.”

The event is held “in the stacks” at the library and as such, is structured to provide women the chance to get together and visit, laugh and mingle with others. Brockway will speak twice in the evening, formally, and mingle with everyone throughout the rest of the night.

Other highlights of the evening include auctions for various items including a full detail service from Stillwater Motors, a “pamper yourself” basket, a private tour and tasting at St. Croix Vineyards,  and a Kindle courtesy of Brockway.

Proceeds from the evening benefit the Foundation for Bayport Public Library, a 501(c)(3) charged with raising funds to ensure the health and future of Bayport Public Library.

Thanks to Brockway’s generosity in waiving a fee, tickets are only $25 this year and are available in person at the Library or online at www.supportbayportlibrary.org.
