Aspiring Young Chefs: Explore World Cuisine

This culinary adventure introduces young chefs to the tastes and textures of the culinary world. Chef Suzanne will teach kitchen skills and safety along with basic techniques to get your kids cooking healthful an delicious food with an international flair! Ages 10 to 13. This class meets three times from 10am to 1pm; June 18, 19 and 20. Day 1 - Italian: Fresh pasta; Bolognese and Alfredo Sauces; Caprese Salad with Basil Pesto; Grilled Chicken Piadina (Italian flat bread) with Fresh Mozzarella; Polenta Cookies with Fresh Berries. Day 2 - Mexican: Pico de Gallo; Guacamole; Tortilla Soup with Chiles and Tomatoes; Burritos with Red Chicken or Picadillo Beef with Chipotle Dipping Sauce; Black Bean and Corn Salad; Green Mexican Rice; Churros (fried pastry rolled in sugar and cinnamon) with chocolate dipping sauce. Day 3 - All-American: Pulled Pork with Homemade BBQ Sauce and Red Cabbage Slaw; Red, White and Blue Fingerling Potato Salad; Broccoli Salad with Bacon; Key West Fruit with Lime and Mint; Mini S?mores Hand Pies.
