Certain rights and duties apply to landlords and tenants everywhere in Minnesota. This workshop will explain those rights. Common issues covered in this session include security deposits, types of leases, right to privacy, repair problems, rent escrow and abatement, proper notice, eviction, and tenant's right to tax credit. Learn where to find free legal forms, and how to access other online legal resources and tools created for public use, while learning the basics of tenant/landlord rights & remedies. The workshop is presented by volunteer attorney Ellen Longfellow. The program is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, in conjunction with State Library Services, Minnesota Department of Education.
