The White Pine Festival (June 17-21, Stillwater and Hudson) presents free lecture/discussion with national champion slam poet and festival host Roger Bonair-Agard and St. Croix Valley artist Kami Polzin. Admired both for his captivating stage presence and evocative writing, a New Yorker originally from Trinidad, much of Bonair-Agard?s work deals with politics, cultural identity and the notion of home. Polzin is a master painter and teacher whose stunning oil paintings have been shown and awarded in competitions around the world. A full lineup of White Pine Festival events can be found at www.whitepinefestival.org. Festival tickets can be purchased online or by calling 800-838-3006.
