Music therapy is a research based, goal directed therapy, in which specific music interventions are used to address non-musical goals. The purpose of this class is to provide education regarding the use of music therapy interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities birth through adult. The class will provide hands on, interactive demonstrations of music therapy interventions, which address cognitive, motor, social, emotional/behavioral and language goals for this unique population.
