DESCRIPTION:JOIN US for our April 20 Chamber Mixer! \n\nHosted at the Freight House\n\nlocated at 305 Water Street S.\, downtown Stillwater\n\nThe Chamber's monthly Mixer is a great opportunity to network with other Greater Stillwater Chamber members and community members.\n\nMembers and guests mingle\, enjoy refreshments and light appetizers\, and meet other business people from the St Croix Valley face to face. The culture is business casual and fun! \n\nGreat way to make connections! \n\nIndividual introductions are held at 5:30! Be sure to bring plenty of your business cards!\n\n\n\n5:00-5:30 p.m. - Mingle and enjoy cocktails\, apps & conversations\n\n5:30 p.m. - Individual Introductions and learn more about our host!\n\n6:00-7:00 p.m. - Network and make connections!\n\n\n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Freight House features the largest patio in the area!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe depot was finished in January of 1883\, handling as many as seventy rail cars a day and housing the areas telegraph office. In later years\, Curtis Feed and Coal and the Farm Service Store operated out of the "Freight House\," as it was then called. In 1970\, the Milwaukee Road Railroad closed the agency and the building was sold. In 1979\, the historical significance of the building was recognized and the Freight House became the first building in Stillwater to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The building still stands as it did over a century ago.
