EmpowerSurvivors Is Looking For Board Members- Treasurer

Job Description
EmpowerSurvivors is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located right here in the St. Croix Valley whose mission is to support adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse , educate communities, reduce the rape and molestation of children, and break the silence that allows childhood sexual abuse to go on for generations.

We are currently looking for a team player who will become part of our dynamic board as a volunteer treasurer. 


What is the job description of a board treasurer?

  • Attend all board meetings
  • Maintain knowledge of the organization and personal commitment to its goals and objectives
  • Understand financial accounting for nonprofit organizations
  • Serve as the chair of the finance committee if needed
  • Manage, with the finance committee, the board's review of and action related to the board's financial responsibilities
  • Work with EmpowerSurvivors president to ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the board on a timely basis
  • Present the annual budget to the board for approval
  • Review the annual audit and answer board members' questions about the audit
