Presentation and Exclusive Tour of the
Xcel Energy invites you to tour its King plant electric generation facility which is celebrating its 50th operational anniversary in 2018. King plant underwent a significant rehabilitation in the early 2000s as part of Xcel Energy's MERP (Metro Emissions Reduction Project).
This spring the plant will be undergoing a scheduled maintenance outage which provides guests a unique viewing opportunity of its equipment.
This plant was the model for a successful and growing peregrine falcon restoration effort, as the first plant in the nation to place a falcon nest box on its stacks.
Please join us for lunch and a tour so that we can share with you how Xcel Energy is always delivering clean, reliable and safe electricity along with a whole lot of community involvement.
