DESCRIPTION:Join us for amazing jazz. Dance the night away (or sit back and take in the view while enjoying the music) in a fabulous setting with an evening of jazz. On Friday\, August 15 the incredible St. Croix Jazz Orchestra will blow your socks off with the big band swing! This 18 piece orchestra is our local gem.  Led by Larry Neumann\, the group is a professional community jazz orchestra with amazing talent. The St. Croix Jazz Orchestra is committed to the preservation and promotion of jazz\, America?s unique music genre.  They are one of only a handful of professional jazz orchestra?s in the Midwest. August 15th is a rare opportunity to kick up your heels to a live big band.\n \nArtReach Alliance is hosting two swing dance and concerts on the library terrace overlooking the St. Croix River this fall. The second\, September 26\, will host Stillwater native and McKight Fellow Patrick Harison with the Baby Soda Jazz Band. This will be a night of New Orleans style jazz overlooking beautiful Stillwater and the Saint Croix River.  Jazz accordionist Harison has performed widely and in the last year\, has worked in New Orleans\, New York\, Berlin\, Amsterdam\, Veracruz\, and the west coast.  \n \nBoth evenings are part of ArtReach Alliance?s Swinging the Valley series.  The music begins at 7 pm on the terrace of Stillwater?s Public Library\, 224 Third Street North\, Stillwater\, MN. \n \nTickets are just $15 ? available by calling ArtReach Alliance at 651.439.1465 or online at ArtReachAlliance.org.
