SUMMARY:Slow Food: The 100 Mile Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Nate Utsch and Matt StabenowThe St. Croix Valley holds a wealth of locally-produced foods and wines\, from organic produce\, locally-raised meats\, even garlic!  We challenged our neighbors from Rev  324 to create a fabulous menu utilizing only foods grown or produced within 100 miles of Stillwater.  Enjoy their talent as they take us on a local journey with a menu of Teriyaki Smoked Chicken with Raspberry Glaze\, Spring Onions\, Brie and Spinach\; Grilled Zucchini with Sweet Roasted Squash Puree and Jalapeno Bacon\, Chevre and Fire-grilled Peppers\; Rare Charred Sirloin with Grilled Onion\, Maytag Blue Cheese and Golden Shallot Merlot Glaze\; Wild Grilled Mushroom with Roasted Garlic\, Chardonnay Puree\, Smoked Provolone and Fresh Marjoram\; and for dessert\, Grilled Hobo Sweet Pineapple with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Raspberry Coulee.  Each course paired with locally-produced wine.  Nate and Matt will share with us their favorite local suppliers.
