DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate this exciting groundbreaking for Ascension Episcopal Church!\n\n\n\nAscension Episcopal Church is the oldest continuing church operating in Stillwater!  The Church of the Ascension began regular services in 1846\, taking pride in their motto that "Everyone is Welcome." \n\n\n\nThe construction of Erickson Plaza is the congregation's next step in providing service to the residents of Stillwater.  The new space will be an amphitheater-style gathering spot\, constructed behind the church on a hillside.  Their hope is that it will be a gathering space for celebrations\, memorials\, performances\, informational meetings and community get-togethers.  The small Ascension Church congregation hopes that the Erickson Plaza will be a building block in bringing the St. Croix Valley Community together\, sharing a beautiful\, welcoming space for all.
