DESCRIPTION:Rake A Difference Day is a Community Thread service initiative that takes place in conjunction with the national Make A Difference Day. This initiative takes place across the St. Croix Valley\, and connects groups of volunteers to seniors and people with disabilities who need assistance raking their yards. Groups rake on or around the date of national Make a Difference Day. Last year we engaged over 500 volunteers in raking the yards of over 65 people in need in our community! 2011 will mark the 13th year of Rake A Difference Day in the St. Croix Valley.\n\n\n\nRaking times are flexible and can be worked out with the homeowners. Daytime\, evening or weekends during the weeks before and after October 22nd are just fine.\n\n\n\nSign up by downloading an application from our website at www.communitythreadmn.org or by calling 651-439 7434. The deadline for volunteer registration is Friday\, October 7th.
