Join Sara Morrison\, owner of The Backyard Grocery who has a certificate in Acidified Canned Foods Training from the University of Wisconsin Extension\, for a preservation lesson focused on the sweet and precious peach. Aspects of equipment and supplies\, safe canning methods and storage of canned goods will be discussed in this hands-on class. Participants will leave with knowledge of properly canned peaches\, no matter the recipe\, and a half-pint jar of properly preserved peaches to take home. At "Our Community Kitchen"\, 214 North Third Street(Ascension Episcopal Church)\, Stillwater\, call 651-439-2609 for directions. The class fee is $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
