DESCRIPTION:Discover a hidden gem (and possibly your new favorite spot in the Riverway) during Naturalist Nights with Wild Rivers Conservancy Naturalist Jeremiah Walters! The St. Croix Savanna Scientific and Natural Area (SNA) is home to spectacular views of the St. Croix River and surrounding inland valleys. Experience one of the best remaining examples of hill prairie in the Lower St. Croix National Scenic Riverway as you hike through native oak savanna\, prairie\, and oak woodland. Watch for bald eagles soaring overhead\, too this SNA is home to lots of wildlife! We recommend wearing a good pair of hiking boots and long pants\, and bringing bug spray. When: Thursday\, June 24 from 5:30-7:00 PM Where: We will meet on the north end of the St. Croix Savanna SNA\, NOT at the entrance off of Hwy 95. DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 95 in Bayport\, head West on 5th Ave N. Turn left at Stagecoach Trail N. Take a left turn onto Inspiration Parkway South\, into a residential area. Take your first right onto Prairie Way S\, then turn right at the entrance to St. Croix Savanna SNA.
