Cabins of Minnesota\, a slide presentation and talk by Doug Ohman\, photographer of books in the Minnesota Byway series: Barns\, Churches\, and Schools of Minnesota will be at Boutwells Landing Town Center on Thursday\, September 20. Doug's photos highlight the state's unique and treasured cabins - hideaway in the woods\; the celebrated Nellie Bly houseboat on the Mississippi\; ice shacks on Mille Lacs\; a cabin on a pontoon in Rose Lake. Doug's books will be available for sale and he will sign copies before and after the meeting. The social hour and history exhibit begins at 5:30 p.m. with the buffet dinner with short meeting and speaker to follow at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited and welcome\, but reservations are a must! Call 651-439-5956 by Friday\, September 14 to reserve (or cancel) . You can pay at the door. The cost is $18 for WCHS members and $20 for non-members.
