The Yellow Ribbon Alliance Lower St. Croix Valley was created almost ten years ago. They continue to find new ways to help support and raise funds for service men and women\, veterans and their families. Now\, for the 2nd time the group of volunteers created Randy Kopesky Field of Bands\, Yellow Ribbon event to raise funds for the cause. "We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our veterans and service members\, so we decided to have this great event with great live music\, loads of food trucks and beverages under an open sky right here in the community we love\, " said John Tetzlaff\, Chair of the Yellow Ribbon Alliance Lower St. Croix Valley. \n\n \n\nFour bands will be taking the stage at the Washington County fairgrounds on Saturday\, September 18th starting at noon until 8pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door. Kids 12 and under get in free. Tickets will be available soon at www.5cityyellowribbon.com \n\n \n\nThe Yellow Ribbon Alliance Lower St. Croix Valley (YRALSCV) continues its mission of supporting communities\, servicemembers\, veterans and military families. They have done a myriad of good deeds and have raised thousands of dollars for service members\, veterans and their families over several years. Many lifelong friendships have been formed and sustained as a result of the efforts of the volunteers of the YRALSCV. \n\n \n\nThe Yellow Ribbon Alliance Lower St. Croix Valley serves people of all ages\, from infants to elderly. Their good deeds include helping a military mom who needed assistance funding her son's cancer treatments\, to awarding three $700.00 scholarships for Stillwater Area High School senior graduates. The volunteers often transport veterans to and from their medical appointments in Minneapolis and to the Mayo clinic in Rochester. Their efforts also include providing financial support for educational programming and mental health counseling and building a ramp for an elderly veteran to help with his mobile needs. \n\n \n\nThe YRALSCV is comprised of five communities bordering the St. Croix River in Washington County\, MN. We are comprised of the cities of Lakeland\, Lakeland Shores\, Lake St. Croix Beach\, St. Mary's Point\, and Afton.\n\n \n\nThe Yellow Ribbon Alliance Lower St. Croix is a federally registered 501c3 non-profit organization operated exclusively by volunteers. The YRALSCV was created to provide resources and awareness of veteran issues to the community.
