DESCRIPTION:Art in the Park\nCelebrate summer and get creative! Children (and their adults) explore their artistic side at this annual event. Explore at your own pace and experiment with some new ways to create art! The annual Art in the Park will be held on Sunday\, August 17th from 2 to 5 pm at Pioneer Park in Stillwater.\n\nThis free event is a great opportunity to try your hand at something new! Fourteen hands-on stations provide the chance to create a work of art. Over 14 hands-on stations to explore including painting\, drawing\, masks\, fish prints (bring a tee shirt!)\, face painting\, acting\, music and more.\n\nOpen Eye Figure Theatre will perform a puppet show at 4 pm. This interactive and imaginative group from Minneapolis will perform The Adventures of Little Grandpa. Our own puppets will make an appearance for a parade through the park before the show.\n\nHave you ever made art with heavy machinery?! ArtOrg will be here with their steamroller (yes\, a STEAMROLLER) as a part of their Summer of 1000 Prints for you to create a unique print to take. After creating your own design\, ink is applied and the steamroller presses the design onto a large paper.\n\nJoin us and enjoy an afternoon of creating your own masterpieces! All activities are ongoing\, so you can explore at your own pace.\n \nThe event is made possible with the help of volunteers.
